Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Claims Management Specialist who will take charge of the comprehensive oversight of claims from initiation to resolution. This role requires a keen understanding of client needs and a commitment to providing exceptional professional guidance throughout the claims process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients on-site during significant or intricate claims to assist in the investigation of relevant legal precedents and facts that facilitate satisfactory resolutions.
  • Analyze and monitor claim patterns for discussion and review with the Risk Management team.
  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, including Insurers and Loss Adjusters.
  • Promote a proactive 'early warning' culture to identify and address potential issues promptly.
  • Ensure effective communication within the team, sharing pertinent information with the Claims Director and Corporate Client Account Executives.
  • Collaborate with new business teams to support the acquisition of new clients, emphasizing our commitment to 'Excellence in Claims.'
  • Stay informed about emerging products and market trends.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members and the broader Claims Division.
  • Prepare claims reports to ensure optimal policy presentation prior to renewals and participate in client meetings as necessary.
Required Knowledge:
  • Proficient understanding of major classes of General Insurance, including the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a comparable role is essential.
  • Experience with cross-class products is advantageous.
  • Commitment to personal development through e-learning, in-house training, and pursuit of professional qualifications to maintain CPD points.

Qualifications:
  • GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • A Levels (desirable).
  • Diploma in Insurance (desirable).
