Buttons Recruitment Ltd is excited to assist our client in the search for a Senior Practitioner in Youth Support Services.

Qualifications Required:
You must possess a Level 3 NVQ qualification.
*Candidates should have experience as a Senior Care Worker or be Care Workers seeking their next opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
To ensure that the care provided to young individuals aligns with the organization's objectives.

  • Offer support and direction to team members regarding effective daily operations and practice challenges, while delegating tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure that shifts are organized in a manner that resources are allocated appropriately and responsive to the needs of the young individuals, including supervision.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to both young individuals and staff in establishing and maintaining boundaries and structures, adhering to the organization's standards.
  • Perform domestic duties to uphold acceptable levels of cleanliness and maintenance, ensuring the facility remains in good condition.
  • Attend relevant meetings as required.
  • Empower and assist staff and young individuals in making positive decisions.
  • Consistently model best practices.
  • Offer support and leadership to team members.
  • Provide overnight cover as part of a team on a regular basis.
  • Develop and implement a program of activities for the residence.
  • Ensure that all shift events are accurately documented in the logbook, and that incident reports and young individuals' records contain all necessary information.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide comprehensive information for the incoming team during handover, ensuring all records are current and accounted for.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth and development.
  • Support key workers or act as a key worker, ensuring that all key work tasks and young individuals' case files are up to date.
  • Ensure proper use of the on-call protocol and report any significant events.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children's Workforce.
