About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at United Response. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with physical and mental health conditions, as well as learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as cleaning and cooking, to promote independence and well-being.
  • Administer medication and provide personal care to ensure the health and safety of our service users.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and engage in leisure activities to promote social interaction and community integration.
  • Support individuals in developing their skills and abilities, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Participate in outreach work to engage with the local community and promote the services offered by United Response.
Requirements
  • Passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to our values of being united, responsive, creative, honest, and strong.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of our service users.
  • Previous experience in care and support is not necessary, as full training will be provided.

  • A competitive hourly rate of £11.75.
  • 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part-time), which increases after 3 and 5 years' service.
