Job Title: Senior Cost Estimator
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our team at Morson Talent. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, contract administration, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring expenditures are within the approved budget.
- Contract Administration: Ensure all activities comply with site safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit applications for payment and/or Invoices, obtain payment certificates and progress client payments in accordance with contractual provisions.
- Valuations and Payments: Conduct regular site visits to measure and value the work done. Certify progress payments and ensure accurate billing.
- Risk Management: Produce commercial risk register. Monitor risk and assist in implementation of agreed mitigation measures.
Requirements:
- Education: Educated to a Degree level in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Engineering discipline.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in a quantity surveyor role within with evidence of commercial management success.
- Skills: Ability to influence and negotiate with proven experience in resolving difficult or disputed accounts to finality. Experience of Financial and Contract Management software packages (desirable).
Working Arrangements:
This will be a site-based role for 5 days per week during the initial set up phase. Hybrid working arrangements will follow in due course.
