Cognia Law is a rapidly expanding legal services firm with ambitious plans for growth over the next five years. This new role presents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the company's success.

Cognia Law specializes in serving large corporations, those exceeding £500M in revenue, with operations spanning the UK/EMEA/Australia/USA/Canada. Our clients typically have substantial legal departments with over 50 lawyers.

The Role

As a Sales, Lead, Deal and Account Manager (LDAM), your primary responsibility will be to drive and deliver Cognia Law's revenue growth, particularly in the area of large-scale, multi-year legal managed services contracts (5 FTE+).

This multifaceted role encompasses several key areas:

  • Client Development / New Business Sales
  • Account Management for Specific Allocated Accounts
  • Managing Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP)
Deal Driver

You will leverage your consultative sales expertise to engage with senior legal leaders, position Cognia Law effectively, develop opportunities, and secure incremental business.

  • Collaborate with the Cognia Leadership Team (LT), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and wider team to develop leads, shape opportunities, qualify deals, create win plans, and drive deals through the sales cycle until closure.
  • Oversee and ensure the progression of assigned leads by managing all touch points during the sales cycle, shaping opportunities to convert them into winnable deals.
  • Manage deals throughout the sales cycle, acting as an Account Manager and actively participating in the drafting of proposals and solutions for prospects/clients.
  • Support all contract and commercial discussions related to accounts/deals.
Account Manager

For assigned accounts, you will serve as Cognia Law's primary client relationship manager, overseeing our business relationship with the client and driving revenue/profit growth.

  • Work closely with Cognia's delivery team, SMEs, and commercial team to ensure optimal client service and delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Sponsor, SMEs, and the wider Cognia Team to prepare and manage account plans with strategies and actions to achieve agreed business objectives and metrics.
  • Manage the ongoing execution of the account plans, ensuring relevant planning and follow-up activities are undertaken.
  • Understand the competitive landscape within each account. Develop strategies to engage and win against competitors.
  • Support all contract and commercial discussions related to accounts/deals.
