The Creation Platform is integral to Amadeus Travel Unit's growth strategy, driving the next generation of the travel ecosystem. The mission of the Creation Platform is to foster innovation that accelerates business value and enhances process efficiency by sharing capabilities across Amadeus's diverse business lines, rather than adhering to a strictly 'vertical' product line approach.
We seek a skilled Product Manager who can adeptly navigate the complexities of the ecosystem, engage with multiple stakeholders, and possesses a profound interest in traveler-centric solutions and platform capabilities, while being enthusiastic about Amadeus's strategy to open our systems.
Purpose
You will oversee one of the essential capabilities of the Creation Platform that is vital to Amadeus's business transformation: the marketplace, which promotes ecosystem growth by connecting suppliers with consumers.
As a Platform Product Lead for our marketplace, you will be tasked with steering the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the Platform Capability to deliver an exceptional user experience.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure that the marketplace aligns with user and consumer needs as well as business objectives. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of marketplace dynamics and user behavior, along with a strong passion for translating concepts into reality.
Main Responsibilities
Define and articulate the capability vision, strategy, and roadmap. Facilitate communication with Amadeus Business lines to share updates, identify opportunities, and gather feedback from our consumers. Recommend strategic directions to management and ensure alignment on value, budget, and prioritization. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders (Epic Owners, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering) to gather, refine, and prioritize product requirements, informing the execution backlog and roadmap. Work closely with UX/UI designers to develop intuitive and engaging user experiences. Lead the capability development lifecycle from concept through to launch and eventual retirement. Monitor capability performance and measure success using metrics to drive continuous improvement and maximize capability utilization. Ensure the capability's market readiness, including legal compliance, service level agreements, and cost models. Promote smooth and efficient deliveries by cultivating strong, trustworthy relationships with train leaders, product owners, and architects, maintaining a well-organized backlog, and ensuring appropriate levels of formalization.About Our Ideal Candidate
5-10 years of Product Management experience is essential, with significant expertise in marketplace management. Comfortable with uncertainty and adaptable to evolving contexts and strategies. Collaborative mindset with strong communication and analytical skills. Results-driven, energetic, and proactive. Platform-oriented mindset: ability to transition from standard product management to managing platform capabilities that support consumers in building or enhancing products. Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Quick to establish strong relationships and credibility. Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
