We seek a skilled Product Manager who can adeptly manage the complexities of the ecosystem, engage with multiple stakeholders, and demonstrate a profound interest in traveler-centricity and platform capabilities, while being enthusiastic about Amadeus's strategy to open up our systems.
Purpose
You will oversee one of the essential capabilities of the Creation Platform that is crucial to Amadeus's business transformation: the marketplace, which promotes ecosystem growth by connecting suppliers with consumers.
As a Marketplace Platform Product Manager, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the Platform Capability to deliver an exceptional user experience.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure that the marketplace aligns with user and consumer needs as well as business objectives. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of marketplace dynamics and user behavior, combined with a strong passion for turning concepts into reality.
Main Responsibilities
- Articulate and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the capability.
- Engage with Amadeus Business lines to share updates, identify opportunities, and gather feedback from consumers.
- Advise management on strategic directions to ensure alignment in terms of value, budget, and prioritization.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Epic Owners, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering) to gather, refine, and prioritize product requirements, feeding the execution backlog and roadmap.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to develop intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Oversee the capability development lifecycle from concept through to launch and eventual retirement.
- Monitor capability performance and measure success using metrics to drive continuous improvement and maximize usage.
- Ensure market readiness of the capability, including legal compliance, SLAs, and cost models.
- Facilitate efficient deliveries by fostering strong, trustworthy relationships with train leaders, product owners, and architects, maintaining a well-organized backlog, and ensuring appropriate levels of formalization.
About Our Ideal Candidate
- 5-10 years of experience in Product Management is essential, with significant experience in marketplace management.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and capable of adapting to evolving contexts and strategies.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and analytical skills.
- Results-driven, energetic, and proactive.
- Platform-oriented mindset: ability to transition from standard product management to managing platform capabilities that support consumers in building or enhancing products.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Quickly establish strong relationships and credibility.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with agile/SAFe methodologies is a plus.
