Production Manager

Executive Edge is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our mid-sized food production facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing resource use.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, schedule, and execute production runs to meet demand and supply targets.
- Ensure efficient allocation of manpower, equipment, and resources to meet production goals.
- Oversee daily production activities, coordinating with supervisors to resolve any operational issues.
- Monitor production line efficiency and output, troubleshooting any bottlenecks or technical issues.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure all products meet food safety and quality standards.
- Manage, mentor, and develop production supervisors and line operators.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of production staff.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed by production staff, minimizing workplace hazards.
- Conduct safety drills, provide training, and maintain up-to-date safety records.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and improved productivity.
- Assist in coordinating with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely ordering to avoid production downtime.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Familiarity with food production processes, quality standards, and industry regulations (HACCP, GMP, FDA, etc.).
- Experience with production planning, process optimization, and workforce management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing production demands.
