Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time individual to become a part of our esteemed Head and Neck Department at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as a Patient Safety Coordinator.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to engage with patients, healthcare providers, and various internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include verifying the outcomes of patients visiting the clinic and ensuring the appropriate outcome codes are accurately applied.
You will be responsible for daily monitoring of Patient Pathways utilizing the internal PTL spreadsheet.
Additionally, you will oversee the management of our follow-up waiting list.

Job Duties

Qualifications
Essential
- A solid educational background, achieving at least GCSE level in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
- A-level education or relevant experience in Business Administration/Customer Care.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience.

- Proficiency in utilizing a comprehensive range of IT systems and patient data management systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Experience in scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions.
- Background in a healthcare environment.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience in addressing patient inquiries and complaints.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within the NHS.
Skills
Essential
- High level of accuracy in data entry, typing, and verification tasks.
- Capability to generate letters and reports using Word and Excel.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to utilize independent judgment to resolve issues and inquiries, including sensitive and confidential matters.
