Position Overview

Purpose of the Role

The Child and Family Support Specialist will be an integral member of a collaborative team dedicated to assessing and addressing the health needs of families. This role focuses on supporting families, children, and young individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) from infancy through young adulthood. The specialist will engage with families and various organizations to design, execute, and review tailored care plans for individuals and groups.

The Child and Family Support Specialist will also play a vital role in promoting public health initiatives aimed at children and young people through personalized, group, and community health programs.

Key Responsibilities

The organization prioritizes professional development and offers a comprehensive training program. Regular safeguarding, management, and clinical supervision will be provided, along with support from the leadership team.

The Child and Family Support Specialist will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to conduct health needs assessments for families, children, and young individuals aged 0-19 years, extending to 25 years for those with SEND. The specialist will work closely with families and partner organizations to create, implement, and assess individualized care packages and group interventions.

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher, or equivalent qualifications in Child/Health-related fields, or relevant experience in early childhood education settings.
