Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of EOC Clinical Commander at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing tactical command and coordination of the EOC Clinical Hub, ensuring that we meet national and local key performance indicators.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide daily 24/7 tactical command and coordination of the EOC Clinical Hub
  • Oversee the daily EOC Clinical Hub tactical plan and ensure effective problem-solving and decision-making
  • Work in conjunction with the EOC Duty Commander to undertake national major incident doctrine roles and associated action cards
  • Lead and manage teams to achieve performance goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and service delivery

Person Specification
  • HCPC Registered Paramedic and/or Registered Nurse
  • 3 years post-registration clinical experience and experience as a Band 6
  • NARU Operational and/or Tactical Commander Trained (or willingness to work towards)
  • 2 years' experience of effectively managing and leading teams in relation to managing performance
  • Experience as a lead clinician in emergency care, leading other clinicians and supporting staff
