The Maternity Services Coordinator at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is responsible for delivering a comprehensive administrative support system to the maternity ward team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of the ward, assisting both the clinical staff and management in their daily responsibilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and the ability to manage their workload effectively within set timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Provide a thorough administrative and secretarial service to the clinical team, contributing positively to the overall performance of the ward.
- Utilize strong organizational skills to manage their own tasks while adhering to established deadlines.
- Support the clinical staff with data management, including quality monitoring, data entry, and the creation of necessary reports and visual aids.
- Assist in the daily management of workforce planning and training initiatives, ensuring accurate data entry and timely reporting.
- Deliver administrative support and relevant workforce information as required by the ward leadership.
- Act as a personal assistant to senior team members, facilitating smooth communication and workflow.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff across maternity services to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Prior administrative experience within a healthcare setting, preferably within the NHS.
- Proficient ICT skills, including a strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
- A relevant educational background, including GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
