Overview:

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a dedicated Registration Officer to enhance our Patient Access Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a welcoming experience for all outpatients upon their arrival. You will be supported by the Registration/Admissions Supervisor in this dynamic, patient-facing position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all outpatients and visitors, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
  • Facilitate appointment requests and referrals, both for same-day and future visits.
  • Ensure that all necessary patient demographic and financial information is collected at check-in.
  • Assist with patient check-in processes as needed.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies and third-party payers to secure necessary authorizations.
  • Manage payment collections using Cleveland Clinic London's integrated systems.
  • Oversee cash drawer management, adhering to cash reconciliation policies.
  • Provide cost estimates for self-pay patients.
  • Encourage patients to register for the CCL MyChart App for better management of their healthcare information.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless patient journey.
  • Participate in cross-training across various Patient Access functions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

  • Experience in a patient-facing role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospital booking systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and work collaboratively.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
