Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Job Summary:

  • To provide high-quality patient care and administrative support to the medical team at Kiltearn Medical Centre.
  • To maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • To work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Managing patient records, updating information, and maintaining accurate files.
  • Liaising with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide excellent customer service.
  • Coordinating appointments, procedures, and tests, ensuring smooth communication and timely follow-up.
  • Handling patient payments, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, such as data entry, mail distribution, and supply management.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to a positive, patient-centered work environment.

Requirements:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
