Position Overview: Are you an encouraging and dedicated Educational Support Facilitator or Care Assistant? Do you possess experience in assisting individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? Education World is currently collaborating with a post-16 educational institution that is eager to welcome Support Workers and Educational Assistants with expertise in SEN and Autism Awareness to effectively engage and support learners aged 14 and above with complex behavioral challenges.

Role Responsibilities: This position involves providing one-on-one support to college students, aiding them in managing their schedules and actively participating in their lessons.

A positive and enthusiastic individual who can contribute their prior knowledge and experience to the educational setting is precisely what this institution seeks. The students in such environments require a nurturing presence capable of adapting to various circumstances. Given the diverse nature of SEN, the needs of the students can vary significantly, which should always be prioritized.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an SEN setting or possession of an Autism Awareness certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with children or young adults with additional needs.

Key Skills: You should be able to assist students with daily activities while facilitating their learning and adaptation to the educational environment. Confidence in ensuring that all learners achieve their maximum potential is essential.

Specialized support for younger students is provided by a dedicated team that offers tailored assistance to help young individuals who may struggle in traditional educational settings. Comprehensive support is provided in areas such as behavior management, personal responsibility, and social-emotional development. The Foundation Learning team caters to students with moderate learning difficulties and a variety of disabilities.
