Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your dedication and hard work, this organization offers:

  • Competitive Salary: Starting at £27,803 plus additional allowances.
  • Allowances:
    • £1,390 (5%) secure unit allowance, payable monthly upon commencement of employment.
    • £2,880 enhanced pay rate for unsociable hours, based on a standard working pattern of 23 hours per fortnight, payable monthly in arrears.
    • £1,791 sleep-in allowance, based on an average of two per month, payable monthly in arrears.

Role Responsibilities

This position involves working within a secure residential facility for children, providing specialized accommodation for young individuals aged 10 to 18. The facility caters to vulnerable youth, many of whom face complex challenges and require intensive support to facilitate positive change in their lives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Acting as a keyworker for young individuals, serving as a role model demonstrating socially acceptable behavior.
  • Engaging, stimulating, and appropriately challenging the young people.
  • Ensuring safety and providing consistency and stability.
  • Advocating for the young individuals with sensitivity.
  • Administering medication as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and conducting site risk assessments.
  • Writing reports and care planning documentation utilizing IT skills.
  • Providing stimulating educational and physical activities.
  • Possessing knowledge of the standards set forth in the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.

While a background in care is desirable, it is not mandatory. To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
