Leader Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialized educational institution focused on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Durham.

This institution serves young individuals aged 2-19 with a wide array of special educational requirements.

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and this is a long-term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to obtain one.
  • Have relevant experience in a similar role or with SEND.
  • Facilitate educational activities with individuals or small groups to promote learning.
  • Support students confidently, ensuring they receive comprehensive assistance.
  • Create an engaging and well-organized learning atmosphere tailored for pupils with SEND.
  • Exhibit flexibility and resilience in various situations.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal support.
  • Demonstrate communication skills adaptable to the diverse abilities of students.
