About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Services Development Manager to join our team at Dixons. As a key member of our mortgage services department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of our mortgage advisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development: Provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Supervisory Support: Offer assistance to the Mortgage Services Sales Manager as needed, ensuring that all aspects of the role are covered.
Requirements
  • Financial Services Expertise: Possess an excellent knowledge of core financial services products, including mortgages, life assurance, critical illness, income protection, and buildings and contents insurance.
  • Industry Knowledge: Have a good understanding of house purchase and move-related secondary services, such as conveyancing and estate agency operations.
  • Technical and E-commerce Skills: Demonstrate a strong level of technical and e-commerce knowledge to promote the services of the group efficiently and effectively.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Be aware of all financial services compliance rules and regulations, specific to a mortgage and protection business.
  • Training and Competence: Understand the requirements of the Group T & C Scheme and be able to work within a Training and Competence framework.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate a strong ability to identify and maximise potential business opportunities.
  • Coaching and Motivation: Be able to coach and motivate others to achieve business generation goals.
  • Client Needs: Be able to identify and analyse client needs effectively to deliver good customer outcomes.
Background and Experience
  • Financial Services Experience: Possess at least two years of experience in the financial services industry, with ideally nine months as a Senior Mortgage Advisor.
  • Performance and Quality: Demonstrate a consistent performance in respect of business production and quality.
  • Product and Market Knowledge: Be aware of the latest products and market developments.
  • Professional Qualifications: Hold relevant professional qualifications, such as the Certificate in Financial Planning, Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP), or industry-recognised equivalents.
