Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Lead Pharmacist to join our esteemed multidisciplinary team specializing in substance misuse services. This role is pivotal in enhancing and delivering evidence-based clinical practices, effective medication management, and innovative service development across the substance misuse framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review pharmaceutical policies and guidelines.
  • Implement medication review systems and Patient Group Directions (PGDs).
  • Provide clinical and professional guidance to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage in service development initiatives at both local and national levels.

The ideal candidate will be a registered pharmacist in the UK, possessing a relevant postgraduate clinical qualification along with substantial experience in pharmaceutical care within secondary or primary care environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Additional Qualifications:

An independent prescribing qualification or a willingness to pursue this certification is preferred, enabling the successful candidate to deliver direct clinical care to a defined patient population.
