NHS Lothian is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Charge Nurse to lead our Addiction Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient flow.
- Manage and supervise the assessment of care needs, ensuring that NHS Lothian's standards, values, and beliefs are upheld.
- Enhance the patient experience by ensuring that personalized assessment, treatment, care, and support are delivered in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.
- Take responsibility for the efficient management of the department, including budget management and resource allocation.
- Carry out initial assessments of detainees to identify any pressing medical needs.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a strong background in addiction care.
- Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Arrangements:
The post holder will primarily work weekday hours, however, may be required to work unsocial hours and travel throughout Lothian when required.
