About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Direct Marketing Officer to join our Individual Giving team at Samaritans. This role will be responsible for managing and implementing key campaigns and projects to recruit and retain supporters, maximizing loyalty and lifetime value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management of direct marketing integrated campaigns across online and offline channels, from project initiation to results analysis, ensuring income and expenditure targets are met.
  • Ongoing management and review of external suppliers and marketing agencies to ensure activity takes place on schedule and within budget.
  • Strategic planning and donor development, close involvement in developing long-term direct marketing strategies for priority audiences.
  • Integration of Fundraising and External Affairs' activities and objectives.
  • Ensuring all activity is run in line with best practice and compliance.
  • Working with the Senior Direct Marketing Officers and Head of Individual Giving to develop and deliver the individual giving strategy for priority audiences.
  • Undertaking database analysis to inform and improve the direct marketing programme.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of direct marketing campaign management across a range of channels.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and campaigns.
  • Engaging and passionate about our cause, with excellent communication and personable skills.
