We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Regional Fitness Operations Manager to lead the member experience across various facilities. In this essential position, you will be tasked with designing and overseeing a comprehensive schedule of fitness classes, ensuring our programs uphold the highest standards of excellence and member engagement. You will motivate and guide a skilled team of fitness experts and instructors, creating an encouraging and energetic atmosphere. Your dedication to member support and growth will be vital to our ongoing achievements.

This position is perfect for individuals with extensive experience in the leisure or fitness sector, who have successfully managed large teams and are eager to expand their knowledge and influence.

Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Sunday - Rota Basis

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills, organizational expertise, and customer service proficiency.
  • Possess a minimum of three years of experience in a fitness environment.
  • Implement sales strategies, develop key performance indicators, and execute marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends, new activities, and research.
  • Exhibit commercial insight that leads to a successful and sustainable operation.
  • Show a genuine passion for the industry through ongoing professional development.
  • Display well-developed interpersonal skills, capable of negotiating and influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adopt a collaborative approach, working across organizational boundaries while supporting colleagues.
  • Be willing to travel between sites as needed.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills, handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Be a self-motivated individual who inspires others with enthusiasm and energy.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • GP Referral qualification.
  • Relevant higher professional qualification in leisure or fitness.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Defibrillation training.
  • Experience in identifying staff training needs and facilitating development opportunities.
  • A talent for recognizing and nurturing potential in others.
  • Proficient computer skills and understanding.
  • Ability to work flexibly with a high degree of autonomy.
