About the Role

We are seeking experienced Restaurant Duty Managers to join our management team at our Bognor resort, overseeing both retail and guest catering venues.

As a Restaurant Duty Manager, your primary responsibility is ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bustling on-site restaurants. You will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of service, consistently exceeding guest expectations and garnering positive feedback.

Leading a team within the restaurant, you'll not only deliver exceptional service to our customers but also ensure your team is engaged, motivated, and adhering to best practices. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the opening and closing procedures for each shift efficiently.
  • Responding promptly to guest and team inquiries.
  • Ensuring all food safety and health and safety paperwork is completed accurately and in accordance with company policy and standards.

This role requires a flexible schedule, as you will be working a 5-day week across 7 days. Our buffet restaurants operate from 7:30 am to 12 pm for breakfast and 4 pm to 8:30 pm for dinner, while our other retail restaurants may open and close between 7 am and 2 am.

As part of the Resort's management team, you will be responsible for managing both your internal team and external service providers to ensure full compliance with all health and safety policies.

You will also oversee all team activities within the department, including recruitment, performance management, and team development. You should be a strong advocate for your team's fulfillment at work, ensuring regular one-on-one meetings and performance development discussions to support their growth and career progression with Butlin's.

Like all roles at Butlin's, no day will be the same. You must enjoy thinking on your feet, embracing challenges, and prioritizing our guests' experience above all else.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage leader who can support their team in delivering fantastic food and exceptional service, always putting the guests first. You will have a proven track record of training and coaching teams in a fun-filled environment to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

You should possess previous experience in busy restaurant or food service environments where a balance of speed and quality is paramount. You should be confident in directing and responding effectively in any situation while consistently delivering brand standards.

The ability to lead, motivate, and engage your team, even during periods of high demand, is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
