We're seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our management team at our Bognor resort.

Reporting directly to the Resort General Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive health and safety strategy across the entire resort. Your role will involve monitoring departments to ensure continuous improvement and maintaining exceptionally high safety standards.

Your Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a strong safety culture throughout the resort by supporting initiatives that reinforce our business's H&S vision and strategy.

• Ensure that all teams receive appropriate and comprehensive training in safety and risk management.

• Provide guidance, coaching, and development to resort management and leaders, empowering them to drive forward their H&S programs and improvements.

• Oversee the thorough reporting, investigation, recording, and analysis of injury accidents, dangerous occurrences, near miss incidents, and work-related ill health. Maintain meticulous documentation of all findings.

• Collaborate with both Resort and Head Office teams on all aspects of H&S reports and procedures. Stay abreast of upcoming legislation changes and best practices to ensure timely implementation and compliance across the resort.

• Manage both internal team members and external service providers to guarantee full adherence to all H&S policies.

• Lead your department effectively, encompassing recruitment, performance management, and team development. Be a champion for your team's well-being and professional growth by conducting regular one-on-one meetings and performance development discussions.

• Embrace the dynamic nature of our 24/7 resort environment. Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to think on your feet to ensure that our guests always have a priority experience.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager with a proven track record in operational excellence. Your background should ideally encompass a similar environment where you've successfully managed the day-to-day operations of a busy resort.

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of H&S legislation and demonstrate strong skills in formulating and reviewing Health and Safety plans.

• Have experience managing risk within a guest-facing operation.

• A General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent, or a NEBOSH National Diploma would be highly advantageous.

• Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, inspiring your team to deliver outstanding results for both our teams and guests every day.

• Be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
