**Key Responsibilities**

As a Health and Safety Manager at Butlin's, you will be responsible for driving our safety culture and supporting initiatives that reinforce our H&S vision and strategy. This will involve:

  • Monitoring departments to ensure they progress with continuous improvement and maintain high standards
  • Providing direction, guidance, coaching, and development to resort management and leaders to drive forward their H&S programs and improvements
  • Ensuring good reporting, investigation, recording, and analysis of injury accidents, dangerous occurrences, near-miss incidents, and work-related ill health
  • Supporting both Resort and Head Office on all aspects of H&S reports and procedures, including upcoming legislation changes and best practice
  • Managing both internal teams and external service providers to ensure full compliance with all H&S policies

**Requirements**

We're looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager with a strong operational background. You'll need:

  • A credible background in a similar environment, with the ability to deal with the day-to-day running of a busy resort
  • Knowledge and experience of H&S legislation, with strong skills in formulating and reviewing Health and Safety plans, and managing risk in a guest-facing operation
  • A General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent, or a NEBOSH National Diploma would be an advantage
  • The ability to lead, motivate, and engage your team, even at periods of high demand
  • Strong leadership skills, with the confidence to inspire your team to deliver amazing results for our teams and guests every day
