About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Shift Manager to join our Resort Safety Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our resort's safety and security functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out tasks on shift to ensure the allocation of team members is complete and effective in delivering a positive guest experience.
  • Build and develop positive relationships with guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Support team members during shifts, providing guidance and coaching to ensure their workload is manageable and they are equipped to deliver excellent results.
  • Review guest feedback and identify areas for improvement, feeding back to Resort Safety Managers to inform future improvements.
  • Conduct individual team member performance development plans and provide coaching and support to ensure team members are highly trained and fulfilled.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and procedures, including fire safety, SIA, licensing, and health and safety regulations.
  • Drive team selection, recruitment, and retention, with a focus on employee wellbeing and engagement.
  • Work a four on four off shift pattern, including weekends, with flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a background in security or safety, who can inspire and motivate our team to deliver exceptional results. You will have a proven track record of leading teams in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in leading teams in a security or safety environment.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, company policies, and procedures.
