We are seeking a Project Manager to be part of our North West Utilities Team, focusing on contracts related to water management. This role offers flexibility with remote working options and requires occasional travel to various sites.

Location : Primarily remote, with necessary visits to the office and project sites in the East Midlands region.

Contract : Permanent, Full Time – flexible working arrangements can be discussed.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager , you will be integral to the Kier Utilities North West Team, overseeing projects for our clients in the water sector. Your focus will be on managing initiatives valued between £5m-£10m, specifically in the areas of clean and wastewater treatment facilities. These projects will involve civil engineering and MEICA works, aimed at enhancing and fortifying existing infrastructure.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Leading Health & Safety initiatives on-site, ensuring compliance with safety documentation and contract specifications.
  • Driving cultural transformation within the Delivery and Design Teams to minimize waste, both physical and non-physical, through innovative recycling and efficiency techniques.
  • Supervising site-based Delivery Teams and coordinating with supply chain partners to ensure projects are completed on time, safely, and within budget.
  • Collaborating closely with the delivery manager and program planner to effectively manage site performance.
  • Actively engaging in collaborative planning and project simulations to ensure optimal construction feasibility during the design phase.

Candidate Profile

This Project Manager position is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have relevant experience in a similar capacity within the water industry.
  • Possess a solid understanding of UK Water regulations, along with certifications such as EUSR Water Hygiene, CSCS Card, and SSSTS.
