We are seeking a Project Manager to contribute to our North West Utilities Team, focusing on contracts related to Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent. This role offers flexibility with remote working options, alongside time spent in our office and at various project sites.

Location : Primarily remote, with occasional travel to the office and project sites located mainly in the East Midlands region.

Contract : Permanent, Full Time – we are open to flexible and part-time arrangements based on your needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager , you will be integral to the Kier Utilities North West Team, overseeing projects for our clients, Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent. Your role will involve managing works on projects valued between £5m-£10m, focusing on both clean and dirty water treatment facilities. These initiatives will primarily involve civil engineering and MEICA works, aimed at enhancing and ensuring the resilience of established sites.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Leading Health & Safety initiatives on-site, ensuring compliance with safety documentation and contract specifications.
  • Driving cultural transformation within the Delivery and Design Teams to minimize waste, both physical and non-physical, through effective recycling and time management techniques.
  • Overseeing site-based Delivery Teams and relevant supply chain areas to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Collaborating closely with the delivery manager and program planner to proactively enhance site performance.
  • Actively engaging in collaborative planning and project rehearsals to ensure optimal buildability during the design phase.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This Project Manager position is well-suited for individuals who:

  • Have prior experience in a similar capacity within the water sector.
  • Possess a solid understanding of UK Water regulations, along with relevant certifications such as EUSR Water Hygiene, CSCS Card, and SSSTS.
