Position: Ocean Import Operator

Location: Totton, Southampton

Salary: Up to £35,000 (Negotiable)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Ocean Import Operator:

  • Manage the complete process of deep-sea import operations from initiation to completion.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the entire import cycle.
  • Prepare and provide competitive rates and quotations for both LCL and FCL shipments.
  • Facilitate bookings for LCL and FCL import shipments from the point of origin.
  • Engage with international agents, transport providers, shipping companies, and clients directly.
  • Handle customs clearance procedures for all import consignments.
  • Generate commercial invoices as required.

Essential Qualifications:

1 to 3 years of experience in ocean freight operations, specifically in import or export.

Familiarity with Cargowise software is advantageous.
