DivalentineCalver Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Associate to join our dynamic Supply Chain Logistics Team. As a Logistics Associate, you will play a key role in managing the business operations, including imports, warehouses, cross trades, and exports outside Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Import and Export Operations: Process import, export, and cross-trade operations from start to finish, including processing shipping documents, sending customs clearance instructions, and delivering goods and documents to the warehouse/client.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all import transactions via the e-filing system.
- Logistics Coordination: Liaise with forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations and procedures.
- Non-Conformances: Handle non-conformances and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Warehouse Inspections: Conduct occasional on-site inspections of warehouses to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Invoice Processing: Process invoices from warehouses, forwarders, and other suppliers.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform any other tasks as required by the business.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a trading company in the food industry.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and another European language, with Spanish being an advantage.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Incoterms, intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills, and experience working with shipping lines and forwarding agents in different modes of transportation.
- Soft Skills: Self-starter, highly motivated, ability to adapt to changes in circumstances and difficult situations, and excellent customer service skills.
