Job Description

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Logistics and Import Manager. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Logistics and Transportation: Develop and implement efficient transportation methods and routes to ensure cost-effective import processes.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all import activities comply with customs regulations, trade laws, and international standards.
  • Update Shipment Status: Update working documents such as Purchase Orders and Shipping Records on the ERP system. Update shipping dates and calculate and maintain payment dates of invoices based on Supplier Terms.
  • Resolve Issues: Address and resolve any problems related to shipment delays, damages, or compliance violations.
  • Implement Policies: Develop and enforce shipping policies and procedures to streamline import operations.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with procurement, sales, production, and other departments to align import activities with company goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with international shipping, such as geopolitical issues, currency fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Effectively Manage the Shipping Team: Assess performance, timeliness, and development of internal shipping team.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Specific Experience: Managing import transactions and international shipping.
  • Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office skills required. Proficiency in logistics software and shipment tracking systems.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
  • Professional Development: Willingness to stay updated on global shipping and trade regulations.
