As part of our expansion strategy, we are looking to enhance our team with a skilled Ocean Import Operator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete deep-sea import operations from initiation to completion.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the entire import process.
  • Generate competitive rates and quotes for both LCL and FCL shipments.
  • Facilitate bookings for LCL and FCL import shipments from the point of origin.
  • Engage with international agents, transport providers, shipping companies, and clients directly.
  • Handle customs clearance processes for all import consignments.
  • Prepare commercial invoices as required.

Essential Qualifications:

1 to 3 years of experience in ocean freight operations, specifically in import or export functions.

Familiarity with Cargowise software is advantageous.

Benefits:

Competitive salary up to £35,000, with negotiable terms.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, along with 25 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.

Participation in a profit-sharing scheme and company pension contributions are also included.
