Job Summary
The University of Cambridge invites applications for a computational postdoctoral research associate to join our team in the Ali group. As a member of our team, you will contribute to cutting-edge translational research designed to unravel the complex multicellular ecosystems that drive breast cancer.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced computational biologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in immunology and analysis of the tumor microenvironment (TME). The main aim of this project is to characterise regulators of an immunosuppressive TME and their impact on immunotherapy response.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of novel computational methods for analysis of high-dimensional tissue imaging data.
- Collaborate with the research team to design and execute experiments to characterise regulators of the TME.
- Analyse and interpret large-scale datasets to identify key drivers of immunotherapy response.
- Communicate research findings through publications and presentations.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, such as computational biology, immunology, or a related discipline. They will have a strong background in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with high-performance computing and data analysis tools. The candidate will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
