Leadership Role in Event Sales Industry

Michael Page is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Event Sales to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and maximize event profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth through sponsorship sales, exhibitor sales, and ticket sales for tech events
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the event sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, sponsors, and partners to ensure long-term collaboration and satisfaction
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Design and execute effective sales campaigns, including outreach, presentations, and negotiations
  • Work closely with the marketing, operations, and content teams to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional attendee experience
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in event sales, with a focus on tech events preferred
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to grow, inspire and lead a high-performing sales team
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • In-depth knowledge of the tech industry and its key players
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, and partners
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
