We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our esteemed team at Kier Group.

Location: Midlands region with travel to various project sites.

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our project delivery team, ensuring the successful execution of construction initiatives with a focus on safety and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing site safety protocols and daily operations, which involves conducting thorough inductions, leading toolbox discussions, and facilitating daily briefings.
  • Enhancing operational productivity by assigning tasks, coordinating work activities, and supervising site personnel.
  • Effectively managing resources by organizing and procuring necessary equipment, machinery, and materials.
  • Collaborating with management to develop safe and cost-effective work methodologies while maintaining accurate records of daily site activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments, while enforcing the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Implementing quality assurance measures, including Short Interval Control procedures and overseeing the daily maintenance schedule of all systems.

Candidate Profile:

This Construction Manager position is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • A Level 6 qualification in Construction Site Management or a related discipline, or a Higher National Certificate/Diploma or degree in Construction Management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in the setup and daily operations of a construction site.
  • A valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Supervisor - Gold Experienced Supervisor or Manager.
  • Relevant site training certifications, including confined space, fire marshal, first aid, and temporary work supervisor qualifications.
