Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Manager , you will play a crucial role in the CSO programme team, ensuring the successful execution of construction projects with a focus on safety and efficiency. The CSO programme is essential for upgrading infrastructure to meet the growing demands on water systems caused by storm events and population growth.

Daily Activities:

Your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing site safety and operations, which includes conducting thorough inductions, leading toolbox talks, and facilitating daily briefings.
  • Enhancing operational productivity by assigning tasks, coordinating work activities, and supervising site personnel.
  • Effectively managing resources by organizing and ordering necessary site equipment, machinery, and materials.
  • Collaborating with management to establish safe and cost-effective work practices while maintaining accurate records of daily site activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols, method statements, and risk assessments, while enforcing the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Implementing quality control measures, including Short Interval Control procedures and managing the maintenance schedule for all systems.

Candidate Profile:

This Construction Manager role is ideal for individuals who:

  • Hold a Level 6 qualification in Construction Site Management or a related discipline, or possess a Higher National Certificate/Diploma or degree in Construction Management.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in the setup and daily operations of a construction site.
  • Possess a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Supervisor - Gold Experienced Supervisor or Manager.
  • Have completed site-related training, including confined space, fire marshal, first aid, and temporary work supervisor certifications.
