Key Responsibilities

  • Provide site-based leadership and direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects, promoting health, safety, and quality management.
  • Lead and promote high standards of health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work for construction procedures, ensuring the quality of work meets specified standards.
  • Manage and coordinate site activities, including programme and site management, customer and stakeholder satisfaction, and project financial and commercial performance.
  • Proactively assist in the education and training of foremen and demonstrate excellent man management skills.
  • Ensure all staff and supervision are competent for the tasks and responsibilities given to them.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in large construction or civil engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of company policy and procedures, including safety and environment-related issues.
  • Ability to produce, implement, and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
  • Successful experience as a section or trade foreman.
  • Ability and confidence to communicate and present to top-level management, senior-level clients, and the public.
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of the setup and day-to-day running of a construction site.
  • An understanding of the commercial issues in undertaking construction projects.
  • HNC/D in Building Studies or Civil Engineering.
  • CSCS Card.
