Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Waste Operative. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of waste at our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist members of the public, visitors, and on-site personnel in a professional and courteous manner, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Report all service and safety concerns to management in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and mobile plant to ensure they are in good working order and report any issues to maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, adhering to health and safety standards and company policies.
  • Verify the quality and quantity of incoming materials, ensuring they meet established criteria.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks on plant equipment, such as bulb changes and oil level checks.
  • Complete and submit daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance reports for mobile plant.
  • Operate the weighbridge and direct traffic on-site, ensuring a safe and efficient flow of vehicles.
  • Operate plant equipment, as trained and authorized.
Requirements
  • Basic understanding of health and safety principles and practices.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues and customers.
