Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Manager , you will play a pivotal role in the CSO programme team, focusing on the execution of high-caliber construction initiatives with an emphasis on safety and efficiency. The CSO programme is crucial for upgrading infrastructure to accommodate the growing demands on water systems due to storm events and population increases.

Daily Activities:

Your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing site safety and operations, which includes conducting thorough inductions, leading toolbox discussions, and facilitating daily briefings.
  • Enhancing operational effectiveness by delegating tasks, coordinating work activities, and supervising site personnel.
  • Efficiently managing resources by organizing and requesting necessary site equipment, machinery, and materials.
  • Collaborating with management to develop safe and cost-effective work methodologies while maintaining daily records of site activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols, method statements, and risk assessments, while enforcing the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Implementing quality assurance measures, including Short Interval Control procedures and managing the daily maintenance of all systems.

Candidate Profile:

This Construction Manager role is ideal for you if:

  • You possess a Level 6 qualification in Construction Site Management or a related discipline, or a Higher National Certificate/Diploma or degree in Construction Management.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in the setup and daily operations of a construction site.
  • You hold a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Supervisor - Gold Experienced Supervisor or Manager.
  • You have completed site-related training, including confined space, fire marshal, first aid, and temporary work supervisor certifications.
