Join Our Team as a Culinary Leader in Development

Are you passionate about leading a culinary team to achieve excellence? If you have experience in kitchen management and are looking to transition into the vibrant world of pubs and restaurants, we want to hear from you.

As a Culinary Leader in Development, you will be supported by your district with a comprehensive training plan designed to help you cultivate your team and exceed your objectives.

What to Expect:

In this role, you will learn the 'Mitchells & Butlers' approach to building a kitchen that you can take pride in. Most of our Culinary Leaders in Development find themselves managing their own kitchen within six months.

At Ember Inns, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming space for our community. Imagine a place filled with authentic ales, hearty pub fare, and the warmth of a crackling fire. If you aspire to be at the heart of your neighborhood, this is the opportunity for you.

Benefits:

  • The chance to advance your career while learning from industry leaders.
  • A generous 33% discount across all our brands, whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner at Miller & Carter or a family gathering at Toby Carvery.
  • 20% discount for up to five friends and family members.
  • Discounts on gym memberships.
  • Health & Dental Plans to ensure your well-being.
  • Team Socials to foster camaraderie.

Additionally, as part of Mitchells & Butlers, you will receive a pension plan, 25 days of paid holiday, high-street shopping discounts, and even free shares. We also provide a free employee helpline to assist you with any challenges life may present.

What We Are Looking For:

You should be an experienced leader, capable of developing a business and guiding a team. Ideal candidates may currently hold positions such as commercial catering manager, school kitchen manager, care home head chef, sous chef, deputy kitchen manager, or equivalent roles.

It is essential that you have a valid driver's license to support business operations in your district during your training.

Your Responsibilities:

Throughout your six-month training period, you will acquire the skills necessary to become a Head Chef who will:

  • Inspire and train your team to deliver exceptional culinary creations.
  • Be motivated to achieve targets alongside your team.
  • Manage food ordering, preparation, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and hygiene standards.
