About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of psychology services across our paediatric networks, ensuring high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of current psychology provision across our paediatric services, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance psychology services, including the design and delivery of training programs and the development of clinical guidelines.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the trust and external partners to ensure seamless care and improve patient experiences.
  • Lead the development of business cases and proposals to secure funding for psychology service developments.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff members.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology.
  • Experience of working in a paediatric setting, with a strong understanding of the needs of children and young people.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
