About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological assessments, individual therapy, family interventions, and group work to young people aged 16-35 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to individuals and families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Offer consultation and training to other professionals on psychological approaches to working with psychosis
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of services

About the Team

The EIP team is a well-established and supportive service that provides NICE-concordant care to young people with psychosis. We are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes equality.

Requirements

  • Qualified Clinical Psychologist eligible for chartered status
  • Knowledge of Early Intervention Psychosis Services
  • Experience of exercising clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and consultation skills

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
  • Experience of teaching, training, staff support, and research
  • Experience of contributing to planning and evaluation of services
