Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Physical Health Psychology Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality psychological care to clients with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions for clients with complex mental health conditions
  • Leading and supervising a team of psychological therapists to ensure high-quality care is delivered
  • Developing and implementing service-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans to ensure client safety
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, with a strong background in clinical psychology and neuropsychology
  • HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status
  • Experience of working in a specialist service, with a strong understanding of complex mental health conditions and their treatment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
