We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a seasoned and credentialed Clinical Psychologist specializing in neurorehabilitation to join our dedicated team and make a significant impact on the lives of individuals affected by acquired brain injuries (ABI).

We are in search of a Senior Clinical Psychologist who can ensure the delivery and enhancement of high-quality, innovative, and evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation practices.

Key Responsibilities

The Role:

Brainkind is seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist eager to expand their expertise by contributing to our esteemed service at West Heath House, providing strategic and professional leadership to the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Delivering strategic professional and clinical leadership to the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust through the Clinical Executive.
  • Offering professional and clinical guidance within the service and across the region, ensuring the systematic planning and development of responses to service needs, interpreting professional policies, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and current best practices, with a strong emphasis on research and development.
  • Providing clinical services at an advanced level of expertise, supporting and advising colleagues on all aspects of neuropsychological clinical practice, and offering expert clinical consultation and professional guidance to clinical neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, and other clinicians within the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.
  • Leading and directing the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust service across the relevant region, including overseeing the clinical leadership of the multidisciplinary team and support staff within the service and other related Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust services in the area.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Psychology, recognized by the BPS for Graduate Basis Registration (GBR) or equivalent
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology accredited by the BPS.
  • Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex and sensitive information effectively in various settings and audiences, including challenging emotional situations and those with significantly impaired communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and managing complex multi-factorial information from diverse sources, integrating and formulating it from various psychological perspectives, and making expert professional judgments regarding appropriate actions in a public service context.
  • Strong skills in managing specialist professional staff, overseeing the day-to-day management of clinical services, and handling financial resources.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management concerning the service user group, including but not limited to the mental health act and related legislation.
  • Experience working as a consultant or extensive experience as a Principal Clinical Psychologist in a relevant environment.
