About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Specialist Service team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients with complex mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to service development and evaluation, ensuring that our services are evidence-based and effective.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, with a focus on clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Postdoctoral training in specialized areas of psychological practice, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy or family therapy.
  • HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status.
  • Experience working in a specialist service, with a strong understanding of complex mental health conditions and their treatment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
