We are a specialist service that focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment to support children and young people who have suffered significant trauma and abuse. Our mission is to help them recover from their early childhood trauma and move on to long-term sustainable placements.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and innovative HCPC registered Educational Psychologist Associate to deliver training, consultation, and direct work with children, young people, and their carers. As a key member of our team, you will work with providers of care for Looked After Children and Young People to provide detailed assessments and formulations that inform therapeutic care and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and consultation to upskill care staff in therapeutic care and risk management
  • Provide direct work with children, young people, and their carers to support their recovery and well-being
  • Collaborate with providers of care to develop and implement therapeutic care plans
  • Conduct detailed assessments and formulations to inform therapeutic care and risk management

Requirements

  • HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist
  • Experience in delivering training and consultation to care staff
  • Experience in providing direct work with children and young people
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic care and risk management principles
