About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our new EBD children's home in Birmingham. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for creating an outstanding and positive environment for vulnerable young children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of staff to provide high-quality care and support to young people
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each young person
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including the Children's Act 1989 and the Care Standards Act 2000
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the effective operation of the home
  • Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, other agencies, and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or Level 3 and already working towards the Level 5 Diploma
  • A minimum of 1-year experience as a manager/deputy in residential children's care
  • Understanding of a variety of different therapeutic models
  • Experience dealing with children with emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to delegate effectively
  • An ability to work both under own initiative and as part of a management team
  • Detailed understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own transport
