About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Secretary to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical staff and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to our clinical staff, including preparing and maintaining patient records, correspondence, and other documents.
  • Manage and coordinate the flow of information between departments and teams, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed and up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and external stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures, ensuring that they are efficient, effective, and compliant with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to achieve shared goals and objectives, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, patients, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
