About the Opportunity

The Head of Portfolio – Major Remediation & New Assets has end-to-end accountability for management of a portfolio of Major Remediation & New Assets Capital Projects to meet Fonterra's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee capital project portfolios to achieve strategic goals, leading change, and delivering benefits.
  2. Define portfolio scope and objectives with key stakeholders, prioritizing projects, and managing execution through governance forums.
  3. Assess portfolio performance, manage benefits, and ensure project delivery meets commitments.
  4. Escalate risks and key issues to governance forums, participate in forums for oversight, and drive continuous improvement.
  5. Manage vendor relationships, share learnings, and manage portfolio-wide team performance.
  6. Partner with Global Engineering and manage design and safety in design for best-value assets.
  7. Define roles, recruit, coach, and mentor the team towards strategy achievement and talent pipeline.
  8. Manage Health, Safety, and Wellbeing and Food Safety Quality Accountabilities.
About You

You bring significant experience in managing end-to-end programme and project delivery within capital works. With a strong background in contract management and commercial acumen, you have a track record of delivering capital projects across complex, major programmes.

Requirements
  1. Robust stakeholder management skills on large-scale projects, including conflict resolution.
  2. Effective communication skills to convey programme plans, budgets, risks, and interventions to all levels.
