Job Summary
Porchlight is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Tenancy Sustainment Specialist. In this role, you will provide intensive support to clients at risk of homelessness and those who have been placed into their own tenancies after a period of homelessness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide housing-related support to prevent homelessness, including budgeting, debt management, education, employment, and accessing welfare and housing benefits.
- Assist clients in setting up home, addressing neighbor complaints, and ensuring health and safety.
- Refer and liaise with specialized agencies as needed.
- Work with clients to set clear goals and boundaries, empowering them to reach their full potential.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Contribute to a busy team environment, working independently and collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
Requirements
- A patient and compassionate understanding of individuals who have experienced homelessness.
- Excellent communication, administrative, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work under sustained pressure and maintain a high level of resilience.
- A passion for working in a client-focused manner and commitment to achieving positive outcomes.
Working Arrangements
This is a face-to-face role, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a community setting. A flexible working pattern is required, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of the service.
